If you’re looking for something fun, affordable, and totally kid-approved to do this month, make plans to check out the 10th Annual Touch-A-Truck NRV on Saturday, August 16th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Uptown Christiansburg(back parking lot).
This event is a favorite for local families—and for good reason. Kids get the chance to climb in, touch, and explore all kinds of vehicles like fire trucks, police cars, construction equipment, and more. They’ll also get to meet the local heroes and workers who use these trucks every day.
For families with children who prefer a quieter environment, a horn- and siren-free time will be in place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., making it more accessible for everyone.
What You’ll Find at Touch-A-Truck:
- A variety of vehicles for kids to explore up close
- Hands-on activity stations from local businesses and nonprofits
- A bird feeder building activity
- A dunk tank fundraiser
